The demands placed upon drilling fluids have increased dramatically over the last two or three decades. This theory and Competence based program prepares students for above average entry-level employment as a Drilling Fluids Engineer. Over the course of this program, students not only learn how to carry out duties they will perform in the field, they also learn oilfield protocol, terminology & structure. Students learn not only how to properly engineer a drilling fluid to required parameters, but also learn to identify mechanical, formational, operational and fluid challenges. Graduates of this program will find themselves working for fluids companies and operators in the oilfield services industry; engineering drilling fluids in job positions throughout the world. They will be prepared to utilize the practical skills, procedures, and practices they learn at Petropath Mud School. If a well is to be drilled, the properly trained & exceptionally prepared fluids engineer is a required resource for a safe and successful drilling operation. From inventory control to proper reporting techniques, the Petropath Mud School graduate will thoroughly understand the job requirements: the methodology, the testing techniques, inventory management, problem solving, and the correct and proper perspectives of the role of the on-site Drilling Fluids Engineer.
